Dried Butterfly Pea flowers are native to South East Asia where it is used in teas and as natural food dye. They are most commonly found in Thailand, Malaysia, and Myanmar.

It is very popular in many traditional recipes such as rice and drink where changing the PH alters the color. Butterfly Pea has many health benefits such as helping bowel related pains, chronic inflammation, is rich in antioxidants, fights internal inflammation, as well as revitalizes the brain.

To make a brew, a brewing time of 3–8 minutes is recommended, depending on desired strength. Adding lemon juice changes the color of the tea from blue to pink. Enjoy either hot or let cool and add ice cubes, honey, and lemon juice.
